October saw the launch of the second phase of the Abhaile Mortgage Arrears communications campaign.
We developed a nationwide outdoor poster campaign featuring 2 people – a young man and a middle-aged lady representing those who are currently in Home Mortgage Arrears and looking for a resolution. Both the messaging and the visuals were kept simple, addressing the problem head-on and providing the consumer with an answer to their problem.
The OOH advertising was supported by a nationwide radio campaign that builds on phase 1 of the campaign telling real stories from real people. Our real-life situations, heard a sister giving her brother mortgage arrears advice and two friends discussing mortgage arrears problems, including going to court or getting advice from a Personal Insolvency Practitioner. Both have engaged with Abhaile and have since progressed positively on their journey to home mortgage arrears resolutions.
The campaign has also been supported online through the use of Facebook, digital partnerships and content videos, which feature a PIP, a MABS Court Advisor, a Duty Solicitor and a Dedicated Mortgage Advisor to explain what happens and demystify the process.
